Gems

Our loyalty currency. Every order drops blue gems onto your pile — a mountain of them, building at the bottom of the site as you shop. Gems never expire, and they turn into money off future orders.

Earning gems

You earn 10 gems for every £1 you spend. When you add a card to your cart you'll see its gems fall onto your mountain in grey — they're pending. The moment you complete checkout, they turn blue and they're yours.

Purchases aren't the only way to grow the pile:

  • Create an account — 100 gems, on the pile before you've spent a penny
  • Refer a friend — 500 gems when they place their first order (they get £5 off their first order over £15)
  • Leave a review — 100 gems, or 150 with a photo of your card in hand
  • Follow us — 50 gems each for Instagram and X, 100 for joining the Discord
  • Your birthday — 150 gems, on us
  • Sell or consign cards to us — bonus gems on your payout, because sellers are collectors too
  • Whatnot giveaways — when you win one of our live giveaways, we'll often load gems onto your Card & Ink account as part of the prize

Spending gems

Simple: every 500 gems = £1 off your order, redeemed at checkout in whatever multiple you like. 1,000 gems is £2 off, 2,500 gems is £5 off, 5,000 gems is £10 off — no caps, and your gems never expire, so stack the mountain as high as you like.

The small print

Gems are a promotional reward, not money — they have no cash value, can't be transferred between accounts or sold, and can't be exchanged for cash. Merch purchases don't earn gems. If an order is refunded or cancelled, the gems it earned come off your balance. One account per person; we may adjust or withhold gems where we see accounts created or orders placed to game the programme, and we may amend or end the programme at any time. Being reasonable people, we'll always be fair about it — these rules exist to protect the pile for genuine collectors.
