Shipping & Returns
International delivery
Card & Ink ships international orders only with tracked delivery services. We do not offer untracked international shipping.
International delivery options are added market by market. If your country is not available at checkout yet, it means we have not finished the tracked shipping, customs and returns checks for that country.
Tracked shipping only
All international orders must use a tracked service. For the first non-UK pilot market, Ireland, the baseline services under review are Royal Mail International Tracked and Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.
Higher-value orders may require additional compensation cover, signature service or a different tracked carrier before dispatch.
Expedited shipping option
For eligible UK consignments, Card & Ink may offer an expedited tracked option at checkout when carrier coverage is available.
Expedited service is not free, does not remove customs/declaration responsibility, and still uses full parcel tracking and insurance terms based on available coverage.
Expedited UK shipping is offered only when processing, carrier availability and packaging standards support the faster timeline; international expedited service is not offered yet.
If no expedited option is shown at checkout, the order will be dispatched by our standard tracked method.
No free shipping
Card & Ink does not offer free shipping on international orders. Any discount, bundle deal or loyalty reward applies only to the product price unless the checkout explicitly says otherwise.
If a free-shipping rate appears at checkout for an international order, do not launch that market until the rate has been removed and retested.
Duties and import taxes
International customers may have to pay duties, import taxes, brokerage, disbursement or handling fees when an order enters their country.
Unless checkout clearly states that duties and import taxes are collected in advance, orders should be treated as DAP: Card & Ink pays to ship the parcel, and the customer is responsible for any import charges requested by the carrier or customs authority.
Do not publish DDP or duties-paid wording unless Shopify checkout, the carrier label route and the market settings have all been tested for that destination.
Refused parcels and unpaid import charges
If an international parcel is refused, left uncollected, or returned because import charges were not paid, Card & Ink may deduct the original shipping cost, return postage, carrier fees and any non-recoverable costs from any refund.
Refunds for refused or uncollected international parcels should be reviewed manually after the parcel has returned to Card & Ink and its condition has been checked.
International returns
International returns must be agreed with Card & Ink before the item is sent back. The customer is responsible for using a tracked return service unless Card & Ink confirms otherwise in writing.
Returned cards, sealed products and accessories must arrive back in the same condition in which they were sent. Refunds can be reduced if the returned item is damaged, incomplete or has been handled in a way that affects resale condition.
Lost or damaged parcels
If a tracked international parcel is lost or damaged in transit, Card & Ink will use the tracking record and the carrier claim route to investigate.
Royal Mail International Tracked includes compensation up to GBP 50, with optional additional compensation available for eligible parcels. Higher-value orders should not be dispatched until the compensation route is confirmed.
Delivery estimates
International delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Customs checks, local postal handling, public holidays and unpaid import charges can delay delivery after dispatch.
For Ireland and selected European destinations, Royal Mail publishes a delivery aim of 3-5 working days for tracked international services, with Ireland included in the 3-4 working day delivery aim note. This remains an aim, not a promise.
