Card consignment
Card consignment
Use consignment when you want Card & Ink to prepare, price, list and sell selected cards for you on a sale-or-return basis rather than taking a direct purchase offer.
How consignment works
- Send your card list or quantity. If you already know the cards, send the names, numbers, sets and condition notes. If not, send the quantity and clear photos.
- We receive and check the cards properly. We check condition, authenticity, identity, language, stamps, variants, market activity and likely sale route.
- We photograph the cards for listing. We take proper listing photos, including front, back, corners and edge detail where useful.
- We prepare a listing-price document. You receive the proposed listings and prices before anything is listed.
- You approve the plan. Once approved, we list the agreed cards through the right Card & Ink channels and handle buyer questions.
- Sold items are tracked and paid out. Most consignments pay 80% of the final sale price to the seller unless a different rate is agreed in writing first. Sales, fees and proceeds are recorded against the consignment.
- Unsold cards can be returned. If agreed cards do not sell, they can be sent back to you.
What to send first
- Clear photos of the front and back of important cards.
- Any grade labels or certificate numbers for slabs.
- The quantity of raw cards, slabs and sealed products.
- Any target prices, reserve expectations or cards you do not want listed.
Where we are starting
We are prioritising local collection reviews in Sussex and Surrey first, because those are easiest for us to receive, check and return safely. Remote collections can still be discussed before tracked delivery is arranged.
